The abolition of the system of discounts is quite a challenge for all those who will install photovoltaic panels next year. BUT HOW WILL THE CHANGES AFFECT COMPANIES OPERATING IN THIS INDUSTRY?

In fact, there is no doubt that the abandonment of the rebate scheme, which works well in practice and is transparent to prosumers, is not beneficial. Although of course the final assessment largely depends on how the new billing system will work.

ACCORDING TO THE NEW REGULATIONS PROSUMERS WILL SELL SURPLUS PRODUCED ENERGY TO THE GRID, WHILE THE ENERGY CONSUMED FROM THE GRID WILL BE PAID FOR IN THE SAME WAY AS OTHER CONSUMERS.

This, in turn, may mean reduced interest in mounting new photovoltaic installations after the New Year. Which in turn means problems for companies operating in the industry.

The Polish PV Industry Association forecasts that, for the reasons outlined above, the level of interest in panels could fall by as much as 70%. If these predictions come true we may indeed be dealing with a serious crisis.

Perhaps a good way to reduce the scale of possible problems is to develop the offer in the field of energy storage.
