According to a report by the SolarPower Europe association, the photovoltaic market in Poland is one of the best developing in Europe. However, this does not mean that it does not face serious challenges and difficulties.

The report, entitled Global Market Outlook for Solar Power 2021-2025, identifies PROSUMENT BILLING MODEL CHANGES, LIMITATIONS IN THE DISTRIBUTION NETWORK AND LOW INVESTMENT RATE IN THE SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED ENTERPRISES SECTOR.

The authors of the report indicate that one of the most desirable solutions would be to LIBERALISE THE REGULATIONS CONCERNING THE CONSTRUCTION OF ENERGY NETWORKS AND ENABLE THE CONSTRUCTION OF DIRECT LINES.

Indeed, such solutions are very difficult, if not impossible, to implement in the current state of the law, which in turn seriously hinders further development of PV installations.

On the other hand, the report confirms that the main driving forces behind the development of the photovoltaic market in Poland are the beneficial assistance programs, tax credits and a relatively simple model for accounting for the energy produced.
