Local authorities support elimination of the rule according to which wind farms cannot be built closer to buildings than 10 times their height. AS THE LAW STANDS NOW, ALMOST THE ENTIRE COUNTRY IS EXCLUDED FROM THE POSSIBILITY TO REALISE SUCH INVESTMENTS.
This state of affairs is to be changed under an amendment initiated by the Ministry of Development and Technology. A positive opinion on the changes has just been issued by the Joint Commission of the Government and Local Self-Government.
In practice, the entry into force of these changes may lead to DYNAMIC RES development. Especially that many investors are interested in construction of onshore wind farms.
Together with wind farms on the Baltic Sea, these investments are of strategic importance for the achievement of Poland’s energy transformation goals.
As announced, the draft amendments to the law are to be submitted to the Permanent Committee of the Council of Ministers later this year.
