According to Rzeczpospolita daily, the photovoltaic market is about to undergo significant changes with respect to the settlement of energy produced by prosumers. HOW WILL THEY AFFECT THE DEVELOPMENT OF INTEREST IN PV INSTALLATIONS?

Currently, households in which photovoltaic panels have been installed, give surplus of produced energy to the network, and in periods of decline in the level of production they ARE RIGHT TO RECEIVE FREE OF CHARGE up to 80% of previously given energy.

In the meantime, the government intends to change the system so that the owners of PV installations will be able to sell surplus electricity produced to companies trading in energy.

At the same time, the minimum sale price would be equal to the average, market price from the previous quarter. However, IN THE PERIOD WHEN THE PANELS ARE NOT WORKING THEIR OWNER MUST BUY ENERGY ON THE MARKET. THE CHANGES WOULD COME INTO FORCE AS OF 2022.

In the longer term, it is planned to enable the sale of energy produced by prosumers directly to other consumers.

There is no doubt that these are revolutionary changes, because so far the CORRECT AND SIMPLE SYSTEM OF ENERGY ACCOUNTING CONNECTED WITH GRANTS FOR PV INSTALLATIONS HAS BEEN THE BASIC IMPACT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PHOTOVOLTAIC MARKET.
