Elimination of the existing ways of accounting for energy produced by prosumers, announced for the near future, is one of the most important issues for the entire renewable energy market. However – as it turns out – THE SHAPE OF THE CHANGE HAS NOT BEEN DECIDED FOREVER.

In the course of the government legislative process, the Ministry of Development, Labour and Technology has proposed a TOTAL REFORM OF THE PROSUMENT SYSTEM, RATHER THAN LIVING IT DOWN.

The Ministry calls for a SINGLE FUNCTIONING OF THE SALES AND OPPORTUNITIES MODEL.

Importantly, the Ministry of Development is of the opinion that the current solutions are compliant with EU law, so the planned elimination of the discount system should not be justified by the need to implement EU directives.

In any case, the government has come up with an idea to introduce a system under which prosumers would be able to collect the same amount of energy they introduced to the grid but at the same time would have to pay full variable distribution fees.
